Transformer Features

STORAGE
A traditional 44" pumphouse occupies 163 cubic feet of space on a fire truck.  That's equivalent to 972 gallons of water.  The Transformer pump and controls only occupy 33 cubic feet giving you 130 cubic feet more storage.  Imagine removing a 1,000 gallon water tank from your apparatus and utilizing that space for storage.

MANEUVERABILITY
At times traditional pumpers have a wheelbase in excess of 200".  Imagine eliminating the traditional pumphouse in the center of the vehicle, reducing your wheelbase down to 168", and increasing storage capacity.  Then combine that with a Spartan Chassis 55 degree cramp angle on a IFS suspension.

CONTROLS LOCATION VERSATILITY
Hydraulically controlled valves give you the versatility to locate a pump panel anywhere on your truck.  These valves have been utilized in the marine industry for a number of years with a proven track record.

FIRE SUPPRESSION
Did you know that on 95% of all calls, the pump is not engaged?  Of those remaining 5% of calls, how many times do you pull more than a hand line?  Why should a component used less than 5% on your fire truck take up so much valuable space?  you still get the 1,250-1,500 gpm, class A & B foam, and compressed air foam system capabilities - plus all the equipment you wished you could carry.

HOSE STORAGE 
You not only get more compartment storage, your big pump, and a shorter wheelbase, but also a full compliment of hose storage.  Shown on the left is 1,000' of 5" and 600' of 2 1/2".  The Transformer allows you to configure the hoseload that you need.
